Send a roll

Four things we promise every roll.
Small batches, fresh chemistry and a real person watching the clock. No rollers scratching your negatives.
Every frame is colour-corrected by a person, not a preset. Warm skin, clean whites, honest grain.
One price per roll, whatever the film stock. Push and pull processing is on us.
We sleeve your negatives and post them back with every order. They're yours, not ours to keep in a drawer.
Hi, I'm Mae. Latelight started in a spare bathroom with one tank, a clothes line and too many rolls of my own. It's a proper lab now, but it still runs the same way: slowly, carefully, and usually with the radio on. Here's a little of what happens after your envelope lands.

Four steps, about a week. You get an email at each one.
Step 01
Start an order below and we email you a label. Drop your rolls in any padded envelope and post them.
Step 02
Your film is logged, then developed by hand in small batches: colour negative, black and white, and slide.
Step 03
Each frame is scanned at high resolution and corrected by eye. Your gallery link arrives by email.
Step 04
Negatives are cut, sleeved and posted back, with prints tucked in if you ordered them.
Per roll, no minimums. Posting your negatives home is included.

Half-frame, disposables, a shoebox of old rolls? Ask us. We like the odd ones.
Tell us what you've shot and we'll reply within a day.
Short answers. Email us for the long ones.
35mm and 120 in colour negative (C-41), black and white, and slide (E-6). Disposable cameras too.
Start an order and we email you a label. Any padded envelope works, and there's no need to refrigerate or wrap anything.
About five working days from the day your rolls arrive to the day your scans land. Prints add two more.
Always. They're cut, sleeved and posted home with every order.
Yes, up to two stops either way, at no extra charge. Write it on the roll or tell us in your order.
JPEGs around 4,500 pixels on the long edge, colour-corrected by eye. TIFFs are available if you ask.
Usually, yes. Old film often comes out with colour shifts and extra grain, and sometimes that's the charm. We'll tell you honestly what we find.
It happens, usually from a camera fault. We'll show you the negatives, explain what we think went wrong, and only charge for developing.
